Sound Design Write Up

For my sound design project I used a scene from the Japanese anime 'Death Note', the scene consisted of two characters Light Yagami and Naomi Misora which have a conversation lasting around 2 minutes to 2 and a half minutes in the middle of an empty street. Then following the end of the conversation Light reveals he is the notorious killer 'Kira' and proceeds to send Naomi to her death.

I put together my version of the scene in Logic Pro X using multiple different foley sounds, even foley sounds which weren't in. the original scene to add more ambience to the very messed up scene.

The first foley sound in which I added into Logic Pro X was a short walking sound on pavement. Through the whole scene there is not a lot of moments in which a character walks during the scene, apart from a handful of moments in the start and end. For the first part in which it was needed, I lowered the EQ of the sound to make it seem more quiet in the empty streets as a different character is focused upon for a short amount t of time as he walks closures to the two other characters
